DREAM HOUSE: How God Made It Happen For Us

When I got married to my husband he literally had no savings. He had lost some millions in a farm business he did as a result of herdsmen allowing their cows to destroy the farm yield that year. At first I was afraid because I didn’t know what the future held and honestly, I felt a bit reluctant. But I also knew he is one of the most hardworking man I have ever met and would sell sachet water to ensure his family is comfortable. We kept praying and trusting God. Then we decided to go ahead with our wedding plans.

God provided for us and we had a small wedding. Our families were also very supportive. We moved into our house, a house way below what we wanted. But it was what we could afford at that time. At the end of last year, we began house hunting.

We met with several house agents, saw several houses etc. But before then we had begun manifesting the kind of house we wanted. We wrote it down, prayed about it, talked about it etc. We saw few houses that looked like what we wanted but before we could pay, someone always went ahead of us.

As the date of the expiration of the rent was approaching we both became so discouraged because, it seemed that all the prayer, fasting, seed sowing wasn’t yielding fruit. One day my husband told me to get ready that we’d move to the village family house when the rent expired. family house? How would I go to work? So I appealed to him to trust God to provide a house for us.

One day an agent called him to come see a house. It was at a location that was quite close to my work place. After few hours he called and said, ‘baby this is the best house I’ve seen so far. It’s the house we’ve been praying for’. To be honest, it was perfect.

We spoke to the landlord who instantly liked us and favored us in all the negotiation. Within two weeks we had packed into the new house. We went from living in a block of flats (in a poor neighborhood) to living in a fenced and gated, four bedroom bungalow with all rooms en suite, air-conditioned, two parlors and furniture worth hundreds of thousands given to us. Do you know the best part of this experience? It was given to us at the price of a good two bedroom apartment.

I have learnt to trust God for the best. At the end of the day, the disappointments was in our favor. I dare you to trust God completely, He will show up for you.
