Pay The Price

In 2019, I had a goal to write a book. I can remember telling a friend of mine that we would keep each other accountable by writing two chapters of a book every month. We figured this can be achieved by allocating one hour to writing thrice a week. We also talked about how we would be rounding off our books by August. The plan was perfect but unfortunately, that was the end of that goal.

I went home after our discussion overwhelmed with the thought of writing a whole book. Looking at my book collection didn’t help matters. As a matter of fact, I did not know where to start from. It dawned on me that it takes a lot of work. Instead of me to pay the price by doing the work, I abandoned my goals entirely.

Am I the only one that has experienced a situation where they are sure that a particular idea will be a success if they put in the work but come up with excuses and keeps procrastinating till the idea is forgotten altogether?

I know that paying the price can be hard but it will always be worth it.

It is the price paid that makes the goal a reality

What are those prices you are yet to pay to make your goals a reality?

It can be:

• Staying in His presence
• Constant reading of the word of God
• Dedicating your life to promoting the gospel
• Reading voraciously
• Starting that non-profit organization
• Dedication in your work place
• Building that business
• Paying for those courses
• Sharpening your skills
• Saying NO to immediate gratification
• Serving with joy
• Being consistent in doing what God has called you to do irrespective of your current condition

You can insert the price you need to pay.

I don’t know your personal goals but whatever it is needs a prize.

There’s a price that comes with making a generational impact.

If God calls you to nations, He does not have time to spoon feed you.
