I read a story online last week of a woman who lost 17 years of her life in an abusive marriage coupled with infidelity. The lady discovered that his husband also has a daughter with another woman allegedly his girlfriend. To think she gave his husband 3 beautiful children tore her into pieces. The thing that broke her most was the fact that he opened a business for his girlfriend while he never supported any of her business ideas. He always talks her out of every of her business ideas for 17 years. She had no strength in her any longer but knew it was time to leave. \u00a0It was not just devastating but heartbreaking for her.<\/p>\n
Her story brought tears to my eyes. What would be the compensation for all the years lost? How can she process the trauma?<\/p>\n
So I decided to write a letter to my sister reading this\u2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n Dear Phenomenal Woman,<\/p>\n I wish you know that you are much more than you give yourself credit for.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know how many lives that are attached to every life decision you make.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that a little girl in some town is waiting on your light to lit hers.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know the capacity God has deposited on the inside of you.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that your dreams and goals are still valid.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that no man is worth sacrificing your purpose for.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that life may not be fair but it\u2019s your choice to dictate how it plays you.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that you are worthy and loved unconditionally by Jesus Christ.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that you are created for impact and influence.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that I\u2019m rooting for you most especially Jesus.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that at some point Esther didn\u2019t know better, so it\u2019s okay to keep figuring out life without losing your substance.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that you deserve every good thing but you need to be patient to wait on them.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that being a woman is more than just pink lips and a couple of shoes.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that this too shall pass and you will come out wiser and stronger.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that we desperately want see you win in all aspects of your life.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know that you can do anything you set your mind to do.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know when to cleave and when to leave.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know when to choose purpose over everything.<\/em><\/p>\n I wish you know how I\u2019m up by 12a.m writing this letter so it gets to you.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I love you so much and I can\u2019t wait to see you blossom into a phenomenal woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Now you understand<\/em><\/p>\n Just why my head\u2019s not bowed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n I don\u2019t shout or jump about<\/em><\/p>\n Or have to talk real loud.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n When you see me passing,<\/em><\/p>\n It ought to make you proud.<\/em><\/p>\n I say,<\/em><\/p>\n It\u2019s in the click of my heels,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The bend of my hair,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n the palm of my hand,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n The need for my care.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n \u2019Cause I\u2019m a woman<\/em><\/p>\n Phenomenally.<\/em><\/p>\n Phenomenal woman,<\/em><\/p>\n That\u2019s me.<\/em><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Culled from the poem Phenomenal woman by Maya Angelou<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Sending you love and light<\/p>\n Dimma<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I read a story online last week of a woman who lost 17 years of her life in an abusive marriage coupled with infidelity.
