{"id":1431,"date":"2021-08-23T09:48:27","date_gmt":"2021-08-23T08:48:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thephenomenalwoman.org\/?p=1431"},"modified":"2021-08-23T10:25:01","modified_gmt":"2021-08-23T09:25:01","slug":"under-siege","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thephenomenalwoman.org\/under-siege\/","title":{"rendered":"Under Siege"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday during our bible study discussion, we were surprised that king Belshazzar was comfortable to throw a great feast while his kingdom was under siege. He chose to be ignorant of that fact and called for a feast instead. That was highly irresponsible of him as a king.<\/p>\n<p>So I started wondering how this relates to our everyday life. How many of us are going about with our daily activities whilst under siege? When a person is under siege, <em>&#8220;She is experiencing an attack&#8221;. <\/em>If this is what it means, then why would anyone celebrate under such circumstances?<\/p>\n<p>The following below may be a sign that your life is under siege:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generational curse<\/li>\n<li>Unhealthy patterns<\/li>\n<li>Limitations placed in your life as a result of your background or territory<\/li>\n<li>No passion for God and the kingdom<\/li>\n<li>Dead prayer and word life<\/li>\n<li>Attack on the word given to you by God<\/li>\n<li>Insecurity<\/li>\n<li>Toxic relationships<\/li>\n<li>Mediocrity<\/li>\n<li>Procrastination and the likes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When you notice any of the above and the likes, hunnie face it squarely and deal with it. It is not a time to feast yet. Do not subject it to prayers alone, create strategies to take down the siege.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Don\u2019t feast till you take down everything attacking you.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How do you face that siege?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect to a community that builds you up<\/li>\n<li>Remember your first love and stir up that passion for God<\/li>\n<li>Schedule your prayer and study time<\/li>\n<li>Listen to messages that will stir up the fire on the inside of you<\/li>\n<li>Be intentional about your growth<\/li>\n<li>Work on yourself from the inside out through the help of the Holy Spirit<\/li>\n<li>Build your confidence by affirming God\u2019s word over your life<\/li>\n<li>Strive to be excellent and diligent in your works<\/li>\n<li>Start doing those things God has laid in your heart<\/li>\n<li>Dissociate from unhealthy patterns and toxic relationships<\/li>\n<li>Be determined to be a generational blessing<\/li>\n<li>Expand your mind beyond your background by studying voraciously<\/li>\n<li>Hone your skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do not leave your life to chances forgetting that ignorance is the lowest form of knowledge. Confront your fears and hand them over to God. You don\u2019t want to be taken unawares.<\/p>\n<p>King Belshazzar ignored the siege and was eventually killed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>The siege you ignore today may take you down tomorrow<\/em><\/strong>.
